WOne undertakes
development projects through its unique three-phased approach, which not only
educates but also aims
at transforming the thinking process of management.
Our approach
to transformation specifically focuses on the following:
- Focus
on developing people and their capabilities
WOne considers that
people are key to the implementation process. WOne focuses on developing
competencies of people through time tested learning processes using various
pedagogies such as case method, simulation exercises, learning from their own
business situations and developing their own strategic
plans. To ensure that loss of learning is least in the
process and to make it sure that executives do not shy away from putting
the learning into practice which are considered two major challenges of
any capacity strengthening programmes, WOne simultaneously addresses
the process rationalization enabling them to derive greater value.
WOne encourages organizations
to delve into the problem areas and undertake projects to address the issues
and decision making situations in their areas of concern - whether in
marketing, human resources, finance, operations or other functional areas. Through the
well-structured and contextually relevant projects, executives are exposed
to various business situations and they get a chance to manifest and use
the learning provided in the executive education sessions. In the end, impact
is assessed through a cost-benefit analysis.
This approach helps
organizations inter alia to understand the following:
- The relevance
of their learning.
- Way to
go about identifying and addressing problems.
- Understanding the
challenges in implementation.
- Learning the
way to tackle obstacles.
- Understanding the
impact of the entire exercise.
WOne
closely observes whether the companies have created enabling structures to
facilitate the implementation. In client organizations where
transformation is underway, WOne team-members are placed in the
organization for a period of three to six months to help in the
implementation and oversee/observe the implementation process. WOne
team-members in turn document and share their experience with the client
organization as part of the feedback process.
